The presentation will cover the following:
NC GreenPower is an independent, nonprofit organization established to improve North Carolina’s environment through voluntary contributions toward renewable energy and the mitigation of greenhouse gases. A landmark initiative approved by the N.C. Utilities Commission, NC GreenPower is the first statewide green energy program in the nation supported by all the state’s utilities and administered by Advanced Energy, an independent nonprofit corporation located in Raleigh, N.C. The goal of NC GreenPower is two-fold: to supplement the state’s existing power supply with more green energy – electricity generated from renewable resources like the sun, wind and organic matter – and to support greenhouse gas mitigation through a carbon offset program.
Located in Raleigh, NC, Advanced Energy is a North Carolina and global resource that focuses on energy efficiency for commercial and industrial markets, electric motors and drives, plug-in transportation and applied building science. With energy cost and consumption on the rise, industries, businesses and institutions need cost-effective ways to meet their energy needs. Many of these organizations also face regulations requiring them to meet these needs while remaining environmentally responsible. For 30 years, Advanced Energy has created economic, environmental and societal benefits through innovative and market-based approaches to energy issues. With an entire team of experts dedicated to helping industrial, commercial and governmental clients, Advanced Energy creates customized energy solutions that realize significant energy and cost savings.
